ENTWINED
Crayon on paper
2016
This collaborative Wall Sit Drawing was performed by Jasmin and Lukai, 8-year old twins. The drawing was built through a turn-taking sequence, in which one twin selected a different-colored crayon for each hand and drew for 30 seconds in the wall sit position, while the other observed closely. The other would then use the same crayons--but in opposite hands--as they attempted to copy the first drawing in mirror image. The twins continued this paired sequence for approximately two hours, switching roles each time.
Exhibited at Transmitter Gallery in New York City for Rules of the Game, curated by Rob deOude and Mel Prest, 2016.
