While we commonly know the word apocalypse to imply catastrophic destruction, the Greek root means simply: to uncover; to reveal; a lifting of the veil. ‘Apocalypse’ is a poem written in response to the sudden shock of social isolation, the loss and the grief I experienced in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.
