For the 2007 Stillwell Student Show (at the Fine Arts Gallery of San Francisco State University), I spun on a 6’ diameter wooden drawing platform that was centered in a 12’x 12’ room, curtained off and hidden from view. A video camera mounted on the ceiling transmitted a live signal to a TV monitor directly outside of the space, on which viewers watched the performance.
Chalking the platform completed the projection surface for the video spin/unspin. Overhead, a ceiling-mounted mirror reflected the light from a projector onto the platform below. Viewers entered the space.
