ALL TOGETHER NOW
ALL TOGETHER NOW
In December of 2008, I invited twelve ultimate frisbee players to participate in a group wall sit drawing in an abandoned racquetball court at San Francisco State University. Drawing simultaneously created a performance situation which encouraged these competitive athletes to push themselves. With a camera trained on each individual, the video documentation runs in continuous time, until each person has stood up from the wall and walked away. This video looped on a small monitor in the center of the court.
Over time, sections of these chalk drawings were washed away by the rain. In the summer of 2009, these structures were razed to the ground.
